Education Outreach Programs are available to our community and Mr. Dog Training has an active education program for all age levels. As part of our work to promote humane treatment of animals, our education program is a vital link to the community.

Age-appropriate presentations are available to schools, scout/youth groups and adults. You can choose from a variety of subjects such as bite prevention, pet manners, how animals learn, working with animals, and animal issues in our community are all available for classroom presentations.

Woofs and Books

Our reading enrichment program for children ages 5 to 15 makes reading fun, boosts confidence and encourages respectful, humane treatment for all animals. It offers children the opportunity to read to dogs in our Woofs and Books program. Not only does this make reading fun, it also builds a child’s confidence in reading aloud. All dogs who participate in the program hold their Canine Good Citizen Title and many of them are working towards becoming certified therapy dogs. We meet the first Sunday of each month between 11am-12:15pm at Mr. Dog Training’s training center located at 270 State Rd. in West Bath. Please fill out the form below to reserve your child's 30 min reading time slot with one of the dogs. NO WALK-INS PLEASE; YOU MUST FILL OUT THE FORM BELOW TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT.

Please contact Sara, 207.798.1232 or info@mrdogtraining.com, for more info on your dog, or your children, becoming part of the Woofs and Books program or if you would like Woofs and Books to be a part of your organization.
